Refocusing Audit for 2021 (and Saying Goodbye to 2020!)

December 4th, 2020 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM CDT

Description

With Mary Breslin - MBA, CIA, CFE

Well, it is been quite a year. No one will forget 2020 any time soon. It took us by surprise, and we were unprepared, but there is a now a new “normal” which comes with entirely new expectations for audit. 2021 give us a fresh opportunity to evaluate risks, plan and execute audits with a better understanding of our new circumstances. We will take a look at what we learned this year about emerging risks, new approaches to auditing, our love, hate relationship with technology (and why we need it) and how to balance all these things going into 2021 to add value in each of our organizations through audit.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Understand why we must look operations and risks with a new perspective
  • Learn what are the most important things auditors should leverage to be productive in a virtual or hybrid environment to be successful
  • Why and how in 2021 needs audit more than ever
  • Why technology is so important right now
